Erika graduated from the University of Missouri with a PhD in Animal Science in 2006 before moving to Fargo in January of 2007. She has been involved in the field of therapeutic riding for 12 years and earned her Registered NARHA Instructor certification in 1999. Before moving to ND, she taught therapeutic riding in College Station, Texas and Columbia , Missouri . Erika is an assistant professor in the Animal Science Department at North Dakota State University where she teaches courses on therapeutic horsemanship. She joined Riding on Angels' Wings in April of 2007.

Lonnie Rotenberger has had a passion for horses and caring for people her whole life. She, her husband and two children live on a farm just noth of Milnor where she has horses of her own. Her nursing career started in 2005 and she's been working at the local clinic and a nursing home in Lisbon. Lonnie started at Riding on Angels' Wings in 2008 and in the fall of 2010 she earned her instructor certificate. Having a disability of her own is what fueled her drive to be a part of such a unique program. Her goals in the future are becoming an advanced instructor.

David graduated from NDSU in December 2010 with a B.S. in Equine Studies and Therapeutic Horsemanship minor. David, also, graduated from MSU-Moorhead in December 2008 with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Coaching minor. David has volunteered at ROAW for the past two years. He currently lives in Morris, MN where he has his own horse training business and gives lessons as well. He loves working with horses and being able to teach people about horses. David plans on being able to have his own place where he can do training, boarding, lessons, therapeutic riding,
clinics, and day camps. David has been employed at ROAW since June 2011 as a NARHA Registered Instructor.

Kevin has been an Occupational Therapist for the past 25 years, an adjunct assistant professor for the past 16 years at MSUM in the Special Education Department, and a public school OT/private OT consultant for the past 21 years. He is currently working for Moorhead Public Schools as an OT, teacher of physical/health disabilities, and an assistive technolgy consultant. He has a special interest in assistive technology and mobility. He has provided therapeutic horseback riding and adapted aquatics as alternative therapy techniques since he began working with children with disabilities in the early 90's.

Krisann graduated in December 2008 from the University of Mary with a Master's degree in Ocuupational Therapy and a special education minor.
After graduation, she worked for Innovis Health in Fargo, ND for a year developoing the pediatric outpatient OT program. During this itme, she also worked in the neonatal intensive care unit, as well as on the acute care floors with adults. She is currently employed with Pediatric Therapy Partners in Fargo.

Tara Haj graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2005 as a Doctor
of Physical Therapy. After graduation, she worked for one year at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in brain injury rehab. Tara then relocated to St. Paul, MN where she worked for two years in pediatric phyical therapy at the Courage Center. She is employed by Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

for five years in area schools providing Occupational Therapy Services for children ages 3 to 21. She is currently employed by HCR Manor Care working with all ages in rehabilitation

Katie Havelka graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science in 1999 as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.After graduation she worked for a Pediatrics private practice in Bismarck, ND for 4 years.While in Bismarck, Katie was instrumental in starting a Hippotherapy program.
In 2003, Katie accepted a position at Prairie Psychiatric Hospital focusing on pediatrics and adolescents as a COTA. She is currently employed at Lake Agassiz Special Education Coop serving the schools of Hawley, Barnesville, and Ulen as an COTA, along with part-time employment at Pediatric Therapy Partners in Fargo, ND.

Laura Pederson is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She earned her COTA degree at Northland College in East Grand Forks, MN. Laura is currently practicing therapy with a geriatric focus at a variety of nursing homes in the Fargo/Moorhead area.

Courtney Johnson is a third year student at Minnesota State University Moorhead studying art with an emphasis in photography and a minor in business. Courtney grew up around horses and has been riding for most of her life. Courtney is a horse handler at ROAW and enjoys spending time with our riders.
