Name: BayBars
Breed: Quarter Horse
Age: 26
Sex: Gelding
Color: Bay
Time with ROAW: 3 years
BayBars’ Story: BayBars used to spend his time checking cattle and fences. The older he got, the more he realized he’d rather spend his time with a “light load” on his back and began his journey to ROAW in Minnesota. BayBars has a very gentle personality, great temperament and huge heart.  He has the “softest eye” in the barn and always aims to please. He has fondly been nicknamed “Old Man River” because of his easy going disposition and consistency.

Name: Bentley
Age: 6
Breed: Paint
Sex: Gelding
Color: Sorrel

Bentley’s Story: Bentley was just a young colt when he began his career in the Western Pleasure show ring. Breed: Paint
Sex: Mare
Color: Sorrel
Time with ROAW: 6 years
Brandy’s Story: Brandy joined ROAW in 2005.  She came to us very “unsure” of people so there was a lot of trust building with her. Since that time, Brandy has turned out to be quite a positive addition.  She is the Alpha mare of the herd, but rules with a gentle hand. She puts up with just about anything and is willing to give you her all. She certainly is the princess of the barn!
Name: Cinnamon
Breed: Paint
Sex: Mare
Age: 19
Color: Sorrel
Time with ROAW: 1 year
Cinnamon’s Story: Cinnamon also known as “Minnie,” has a special story! Her previous owner searched out a place for her special four-legged friend to better spend the rest of her days. Cinnamon and her lifelong love, Sunny, traveled all the way from Ohio to work with us at ROAW. Cinnamon has a quiet disposition, but is full of life! She may be small, but has a heart as big as Texas and loves getting attention.

Name: Cocoa
Breed: Appaloosa
Sex: Mare
Age: 19
Color: Grey
Time with ROAW: 1 year
Cocoa’s Story: Cocoa came from Western Minnesota. Cocoa was still looking for a job and her owner felt ROAW would be a wonderful fit.  Cocoa has a strong personality when dealing with the herd, but when she is working with our riders, she shows her softer side.

Mickey’s Story: Mickey may be young, but he is a very quick learner. There isn’t much that he isn’t willing to try at least once! Mickey has earned the barn nickname “Mickey-Doodle-Bop” and seems to always have something braided (mane, tail, or forelock) as he has the most hair!

Name: Sunny
Breed: Quarter Horse
Sex: Gelding
Age: 25
Color: Chestnut
Time with ROAW: 1 year
Sunny’s Story: Sunny’s journey began in Ohio. He and his love, Cinnamon hopped on a semi and stopped in Western Minnesota!
